Computer maintenance/health check (MOT)

Service Description

The goals of preventative maintenance is to reduce the likelihood of hardware failures, extend the useful life of the system, minimize crashes caused by outdated drivers and other software problems, secure the system against viruses and other malware, and reduce likelihood of data loss. If up-time and reliability are important to you then this is a must. Similar to an MOT on a car. This is a workshop service that provides pre-emptive checks and maintenance services on laptops and desktop PCs to ensure the hardware is kept in optimal condition. It is not intended as a fix for specific pre-existing problems. During the service we will check temperature, voltages, drive health, air flow/cooling and if required we'll strip and clean the machine inside. We also check/install updates to common software such as Microsoft Windows, Office, internet browsers and security products, including security M/S patches and new Windows releases.

Cancellation Policy

You can cancelled or rearranged this booking up to 8 working hours prior to the booking slot. Cancellations within 8 hours, or "customers not home" will still be chargeable.
